I will become humid, 2022.
‘We will become humid’ is a project that tries to convey that it is possible to draw new ways of relating to each other. Lynn Margulis was the first scientist to criticize the Darwinist theory based on competition, by proposing that the origin of life is bacteria and that we evolve more kindly, based on symbiosis.
This is how I take bacteria as a metaphor to rethink the ways of relating to each other. For this, I am taking samples from my body and want to photograph them microscopically. At the same time, I am generating visuals that transmit what would be a humid environment, which is the favorable environment where bacte- ria grow. The humidity moves away from the ‘defined’ and instead approaches the non-binary, and it also has to do with deconstructing the hegemonic way in which we see things.
What I want to express is that we have to relate to each other in a more symbiotic way, that we have to create odd kins with spaces, humans and non-human and learn how to live in a world in time of extinction.
